Exhibitions
It's summer 2008 and after two very successful exhibitions (Colours of Emotion & Faces of Devotion) I decided to paint for a third 'LOVE & LIFE'.
In spring of this year I put together my very first art exhibition after going through a very emotional rollercoaster which has lasted for the past 3 years. I had no idea how the public would react or even if my work was good enough to hang, but to my amazement was a sell out success.
How did this happen?
All I can say is that my very first art exhibition 'COLOURS OF EMOTION' was completely from my heart and at stages I never even knew 'WHY' I was painting a certain colour, shape or style it would just happen, I felt great pleasure every time I stood back and looked at my finished creation, was it my actual 'Emotion' good, bad, happy or sad that had been created right there in front of me? Whatever it was it was exciting and gave me strength.
'LOVE & LIFE' is all about the devoted souls inside us, angels if you like, and I have been extremely fortunate to have been surrounded by beautiful angels recently so decided to show just a few of them in all their glory. As an Artist I wanted to show my interpretation of love and life by painting in two very different ways, 'Abstract' to capture emotion from my personal life experiences, creating visual depth and three dimensional sculptural elements of 'LOVE & LIFE' on canvas and 'Portrait' using manipulated light and space to capture an everlasting moment in time.
This exhibition is again a very personal insight into my life and how my sanity was saved from destruction through the kindness of ordinary people who care. I hope you enjoy my exhibition which will be completely donated to www.petesfund.co.uk in order to help Pete get his life back on track and to also help other AVM & Stroke victim sufferers in any way we can, and to remind us all that braveness and strength is inside all of us. Thank you for your interest.
By the way look out for my hidden hearts painted in all of my art work, a reminder of my love for Pete, my extraordinary husband.
